Asia Sustainable Infrastructure Advisory (ASIA) Panel

Infrastructure underpins social and economic development and is linked to all 17 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In recent years, there has been a global call to develop sustainable infrastructure and facilitate recovery. Furthermore, there is a pressing need for Asia to decarbonise and place greater focus on sustainability in its development journey. Southeast Asia and South Asia in particular,  have shown increased interests in sustainable infrastructure. At the 37th ASEAN Summit in November 2020, the ASEAN Comprehensive Recovery Framework (ACRF) aimed to advance a more sustainable and resilient future in line with goals set out in the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The Asia Sustainable Infrastructure Advisory (ASIA) Panel, launched at the Asia Infrastructure Forum 2021, serves as a platform to exchange the latest thinking and best practices on sustainable infrastructure, provides insights and promotes opportunities for the private sector to support Asia’s sustainable infrastructure development.

Consisting of international experts on sustainable infrastructure, the panel shares their perspectives on topics across the entire infrastructure value-chain, from planning, design, and construction, to the operation and maintenance of projects within various sub-sectors. This would enable more collaborations and business opportunities to advance regional sustainable infrastructure.
